BE IT REMEMBERED, that the White County Drainage Board held a regular meeting on Monday, June 2, 2014.  The meeting was held at the White County Building, 2nd floor, commissioners’ conference room beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Drainage Board members present were:  President Steve Burton, Vice President John Heimlich and Member David Diener.  Also, present were the White County Attorney George W. Loy, White County Surveyor Bradley E. Ward and the Surveyor’s Secretary Sharon Broussard.

Others present were:

Mike Kyburz-White County Highway Dept.

Mr. Spark Kelly – Landowner

· Member Heimlich made a motion to approve the minutes as presented for the regular meeting held on May 19, 2014, seconded by Member Diener.  Vote:  Unanimous


Surveyor Ward presented two options for a Maintenance Modification.  There are 28 parcels with 23 landowners and 613.548 acres benefitted.  The current balance is $89.89.

Member Heimlich recommends advertising Option# 1 for the maintenance modification, seconded by Member David Diener.  Vote: Unanimous

Mr. Spark Kelly

Mr. Kelly came before the White County Drainage Board to discuss the air well on his property located near the J. Bunnell #549 regulated tile.  The air well is not part of the White County regulated drain; it is on the private lateral end of the County tile.

The White County Attorney George Loy determined this issue is a civil matter.  This is beyond the scope of the White County Drainage Board’s legal power to maintain this tile.



There being no further business to come before the board, their meeting was adjourned.
