GREENTOWN-REYNOLDS ELECTRIC SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT PROJECT – NIPSCO TRANSMISSION LINE

Surveyor Ward reported contacting, Joseph Werner, Burns & McDonnell, Greentown-Reynolds Electric System Improvement Project representative. He informed the project representative the date of the Drainage Board meeting and was expecting maps and other information from him by today.

2015 SPRAY PROJECT – UPDATE

Surveyor Ward reported that the contractor, Right of Way Management Co., St. Joe, IN, didn’t get an opportunity to get the equipment into the fields and spray the ditches with all the heavy rain this summer and they do not want to destroy the landowner’s crops by spraying now. He asked the Drainage Board if they would like to spray this year, void the contract or extend the spray project contract until 2016. He suggested the county could have two (2) spray contractors or add ditches in 2016 and use the same contractor for the 2015 ditch list.

President Burton asked Attorney Loy if White County can carry over the 2015 contract to the 2016 date.

Attorney Loy confirmed with the surveyor that the county ditches would be the same.

  • Member Diener made the motion to extend the spray project contract from 07-01-2015 to 07-01-2016 for Right of Way Management Co, St. Joe, IN and bid, as usual, in 2016; Vice President Heimlich seconded the motion. Vote: Unanimous
