HEALTH CENTER CLINIC IN WOLCOTT – COUNTY CONTRIBUTION

Commissioner Heimlich asked County Attorney George Loy how they would go about contributing $35,000 for a health clinic in Wolcott, and what fund could they use. Attorney Loy didn’t know the answer. Commissioner Burton suggested using the Wind Farm fund.

Auditor Rogers said that the Health Department has two funds that could supply the full $35,000, but the money can only be used for supplies and not rent or purchasing a building.

Commissioner Burton said that Remington-Wolcott Community Development will own the building because they are the ones receiving the grant. Contributions from the Town of Wolcott and White County will be used for start-up cost and supplies to get the doors open.

  • Commissioner Burton made a motion to move funds not to exceed $35,000 to be used for start-up cost for the health clinic project in Wolcott, seconded by Commissioner Burton. Vote: Unanimous
