BE IT REMEMBERED, that the White County Drainage Board held a regular meeting on Monday, August 15, 2016. The meeting was held at the White County Building, 2nd floor, Commissioners’ conference room beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Drainage Board members present were: President Steve Burton, Vice President John Heimlich and Member David Diener. Also, present were the White County Attorney George W. Loy, White County Surveyor Brad Ward and the Drainage Board Secretary Jennifer Hill.

Others present were:

Mike Kyburz – White County Highway Superintendent J.D. Smith – White County Highway Dept.

Sharon Watson-White County Soil & Water Dept.

President Burton called the meeting to order.

 

MINUTES

  • Vice President Heimlich made a motion to approve the minutes as presented for the regular meeting held on August 1, 2016; seconded by Member Diener. Vote: Unanimous (3-Favor 0-Opposed)

 

UPDATE ON WHITE COUNTY AIRPORT

 

Surveyor Ward provided a short update on the White County Airport, stating that an updated Drainage Pond Alteration packet had been received just prior to the Drainage Board Meeting this morning. There was also a short discussion with Mike Kyburz, White County Highway Superintendent, in regards to tiling the area near the White County Airport. Superintendent Kyburz said that he would check the lay of the land in the area and see what could be done with tiling.

 

Additional Business

 

Surveyor Brad Ward updated the Board in regards to the T.J. Woltz #603 reconstruction project. Surveyor Ward reported that the project is near completion and approximately $30, 000.00 under cost. Letters will be sent out to landowners affected by the project letting them know that it’s near completion and to get in touch with the office if there are any issues with what has been done.

 

There being no further business to come before the board, their meeting was adjourned.
