BE IT REMEMBERED, that the White County Drainage Board held a regular meeting on Monday, December 4, 2017. The meeting was held at the White County Building, 2nd floor, Commissioners’ conference room beginning at 10:30 a.m. Drainage Board members present were: President Steve Burton, Vice President John Heimlich and Board Member David Diener. Also, present were the White County Surveyor Bradley E. Ward, Attorney George Loy and Board Secretary Jennifer Hill.

 

President Burton called the meeting to order.

MINUTES

· Vice President Heimlich made a motion to approve the minutes as presented for the regular meeting held on November 20, 2017, seconded by Board Member Diener.

Vote: Unanimous

DRAINAGE EXCEPTION – Liberty Arms

Surveyor Ward request that this item be tabled, no one was present to present.

PETITION FOR MAINTENANCE – Marion Sluyter #618

Surveyor Ward explained that Dick Westerhouse is carrying this petition. Mr. Westerhouse stopped in the office on Friday. He’s one of the landowners in the watershed with the most acres involved. Vice President Heimlich made a motion to accept the Petition for Maintenance on the Marion Sluyter #618, with a second from Board Member Diener. Vote: Unanimous (3 – favor 0 – Oppose)

 

OTHER BUSINESS

County Highway Garage/Fairgrounds - Surveyor Ward said that he’s trying to get information so a proposal for the cost of engineering and construction of the Project at the Fairgrounds can be created.

 

Big Monon Creek- Darrell Erb was in in Friday inquiring as to what could be done with the Monon Creek, there was short discussion on this topic.

 

 

There being no further business to come before the board, the meeting was adjourned.
