BE IT REMEMBERED, that the White County Drainage Board held a meeting on Monday, May 21, 2018. The meeting was held at the White County Building, 2nd floor, Commissioners’ conference room beginning at 10:30 a.m. Drainage Board members present were: President Steve Burton, Vice President John Heimlich, and Board Member Dave Diener. Also, present were the White County Surveyor Bradley E. Ward, Attorney George Loy and Board Secretary Jennifer Hill.

 

President Burton called the meeting to order.

MINUTES

· Vice President John Heimlich made a motion to approve the minutes as presented for the regular meeting held on May 7, 2018, seconded by Board Member Diener.

Vote: Unanimous (3 – Favor, 0 – Oppose)

PETITION FOR GENERAL MAINTENANCE OR RECONSTRUCTION –

Little Monon Creek

This petition was carried by the Darrell Erb. He’s requesting that we hire Banning Engineering to look into this. There is no assessment or legal to the Little Monon Creek. They’re wanting the trees and brush taken off. It starts approximately ½ mile north of the county line. After short discussion it was decided that Surveyor Ward would contact Jeff Healy with Banning Engineering and see if there is anything that can be done with this. No vote taken.

 

BOARD APPOINTMENT

Frances Fleet Lakin

There was a request received from Jasper County for 2 members appointment to a joint board. They’re also requesting that the members choose a date the week of July 23 for a meeting. There was a motion made by Board Member Diener that Vice President Heimlich and President Steve Burton be appointed to the Joint Board for the Frances Fleet Lakin, with a second from President Steve Burton. Vote: Unanimous (3 – Favor, 0 – Oppose)

Reminder of the Indian Creek Meeting June 6th at 9 a.m.
