BE IT REMEMBERED, that the White County Drainage Board held a meeting on Monday, August 6, 2018. The meeting was held at the White County Building, 2nd floor, Commissioners’ conference room beginning at 10:30 a.m. Drainage Board members present were: President Steve Burton, Vice President John Heimlich and Board Member Dave Diener. Also, present were the White County Surveyor Bradley E. Ward, Attorney George Loy and Board Secretary Jennifer Hill.

 

President Burton called the meeting to order.

MINUTES

· Vice President John Heimlich made a motion to approve the minutes as presented for the regular meeting held on July 16, 2018, seconded by Board Member Diener.

Vote: Unanimous (3 – Favor, 0 – Oppose)

OPEN BIDS/QUOTES

B.K. ROACH # 648

Surveyor Ward explained that his estimate for the project was $11,600.00. There were 3 invitations sent out to area contractors and one was received. Attorney Loy opened the bid from Howard Excavating.

 

Howard Excavating $10,800.00

 

There was a motion made by Board Member Diener to except the bid from Howard Excavating for $10,800.00 with a second from Vice President Heimlich. Vote: Unanimous (3 – Favor, 0 – Oppose)

 

 

PETITIONS FOR RECONSTRUCTION

JOSEPH CONWAY TILE #525

Surveyor Ward explained that Jon Thompson carried this petition. After short discussion Board Member Diener made a motion to accept the Petition for Reconstruction on the Joseph Conway Tile # 525; with a second from Vice President Heimlich. Vote: Unanimous (3 – Favor, 0 – Oppose)

HENRY L. VICTOR & AUGUST BORDNER # 595

Surveyor Ward explained that Jon Thompson carried this petition as well. After short discussion Vice President Heimlich made a motion to accept the Petition for Reconstruction on the Henry L. Victor & August Bordner # 595; with a second from Board Member Diener. Vote: Unanimous (3 – Favor, 0 – Oppose)

MINA WINTERS #708

Surveyor Ward explained that Brian Huber carried this petition. After short discussion Vice President Heimlich made a motion to accept the Petition for Reconstruction on the Mina Winters # 708; with a second from Board Member Diener. Vote: Unanimous (3 – Favor, 0 – Oppose)

 

DRAINAGE EXEMPTION

Surveyor explained that Jason Getz is looking to obtain a drainage exemption for a hog confinement building located in the area of 1100 W & 1200 S. Some of the buildings that are currently on the property will be or have already been removed for the 80’ X 250’ building that will be erected. After short discussion Board Member Diener made a motion to grant the Drainage Exemption request by Jason Getz; with a second from Vice President Heimlich. Vote: Unanimous (3 – Favor, 0 – Oppose)
