BE IT REMEMBERED, that the White County Drainage Board held a meeting on Monday, March 16, 2020. The meeting was held at the White County Building, 2nd floor, Commissioners’ conference room beginning at 10:30 a.m. Drainage Board members present were: President Steve Burton, Vice President John Heimlich and Board Member David Diener. Also, present were Surveyor Bradley Ward, Attorney George Loy and Board Secretary Jennifer Hill.

President Steve Burton called the meeting to order.


· Vice President Heimlich made a motion to approve the minutes as presented for the meeting held on March 2, 2020, seconded by Board Member David Diener.

Vote: Unanimous (3 – For, 0- Against)




Review the rate on the F.M. Coonrod #526. Last fall there was a petition to clean the ditch. At that time, the estimate to clean the ditch was $54,000.00. The project came back at $31,000.00. The rates were raised from $1.00 an acre with a $5.00 minimum to $5.00 an acre with a $10.00 minimum for 4 years and then dropping it back to $2.00 an acre with a $5.00 minimum. We’re wondering if we can drop that 4th year back to $2.00 an acre with a $5.00 minimum to make landowners happy. After short discussion there was a motion by Board Member Diener to reduce the 4th year rates to $2.00 an acre with a $5.00 minimum; with a second from Vice President Heimlich. Vote: Unanimous (3 – For, 0- Against)



There being no other business before the board, the meeting was adjourned.
