H1N1 – INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH

Kristen Ellingwood, Team Leader with the IDOH, District 4, and Linda Pagels, White County Nurse, appeared before the Commissioners to give a report on the H1N1 vaccinations given in White County.

They reported that White County received 6,300 doses, and 5,600 of them were administered. This estimated to 28% of White County residents receiving the H1N1 vaccination. Mrs. Pagels said that she had a tremendous outpouring of volunteers. Over 109 people helped them during their clinics (seven clinics held at Indiana Beach and one clinic in Reynolds). The adults really liked the drive-thru clinics that were held.

White County did receive $92,000 in H1N1 grant funds to cover all cost associated with the vaccinations.

There being no further business to come before the board, their meeting was adjourned.
