, that the White County Commissioners held a regular meeting April 4, 2011, at the White County Building, Commissioners’ Conference room beginning at 8:00 a.m.
Commissioners’ present was President John C. Heimlich, Vice President Steve Burton, and Commissioner Ronald Schmierer. Also present was the White County Attorney George Loy, White County Auditor Jill Guingrich, and the Commissioners Secretary Donya Tirpak.
Commissioner Heimlich called the meeting to order.
MINUTES
Commissioner Schmierer made a motion to approve the minutes as presented for the regular meeting on March 21, 2011, seconded by Commissioner Burton. Vote: Unanimous
PAYROLL
Commissioner Burton made a motion to approve the payroll for April 4, 2011, as presented, seconded by Commissioner Schmierer. Vote: Unanimous
CLAIMS
Commissioner Schmierer made a motion to approve and pay the claims as presented, seconded by Commissioner Burton. Vote: Unanimous
NORWAY CEMETARY
Commissioners’ Secretary, Donya Tirpak, said that someone had called and requested to be buried at Norway Cemetery. She said that she called Springer Funeral Home and they do not have a map of where people have been buried. The Funeral Home Director said that it would be very difficult to figure out where spots are open because the cemetery is so old and most of the caskets were made out of wood.
ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER
The Commissioners discussed and decided to advertise for the Environmental Officer’s open position. A new job description will be written up after a meeting is held with the Health Officer.
6th STREET CHANGE ORDER
Commissioner Burton made a motion to approve Change Order #9 for the 6th Street project reducing the previous amount of $96,760 to $48,380 for a different type of stone being used, seconded by Commissioner Schmierer. Vote: Unanimous
