AUDITOR’S OFFICE

White County Auditor Jill Guingrich presented two quotes for five new work stations in her department.

The Stationair’s Express, Monticello $ 9,162.00

Interior Concepts, Monticello $13,500.00

The cost is drastically different because the work stations from Stationair’s Express are remanufactured desks and the work stations from Interior Concepts are custom made. Jill discussed the cords for all of the office equipment is a nuisance and the heaters and electrical boxes on the floors are difficult to work around. She made the recommendation to go with the Interior Concepts quote because they are all custom made and they will build the desks around the heaters and electrical boxes.

The commissioners verified that there is still $10,000 in their budget for office furniture. Discussion was made to carry those funds over to 2012 to help pay for the purchase.

  • Commissioner Diener made a motion to encumber $10,000 from the commissioners’ 2011 office furniture line item to the 2012 budget, seconded by Commissioner Burton. Vote: Unanimous

The commissioners will take the quotes under advisement and discuss at the next meeting.

MONTICELLO – UNION PUBLIC LIBRARY APPOINTMENT

Commissioner Heimlich announced that two letters of interest to serve on the Monticello-Union Public Library Board were received. The Commissioners decided to take time to review the letters that were submitted and make the appointment at their next meeting.

There being no further business to come before the board, their meeting was adjourned.
